A few months back I blogged about the difficulty some Brides have in knowing exactly how to lace their corset Wedding dress. I posted a link to a video on a Bridal Salon blog but having tried to view it again recently for a Bride I discovered it had disappeared!
I really am surprised at the number of Bridal salons that appear not to give any instruction as to how best to lace up a dress so thought I should find a suitable video and load it here for people to access whenever they have the need.
The video was very kindly supplied by Ribbons and Pearls in Cookham, Berkshire. They had it created some time ago for their Brides and have given me permission to use it. The video tells you to set aside 30 minutes to lace up your dress and while some might think that excessive most Brides find themselves running short on time once they get to the stage of getting into their gown.
There are other videos on Youtube but most follow the same routine as shown here however most are from the US and I just felt that most would be more comfortable with a UK version. I've also chosen to call it a Wedding dress rather than a Bridal gown which is a more American term!
Please feel free to share a link to this video with any Brides to be that you know.
